Carignan Prima, 2006

With the special cuvée Prima, Château de Carignan offers us a Cadillac-Côtes-de-Bordeaux, appellation that is located east of Bordeaux, between Graves and Fronsac. Château de Carignan represents an area of 370 acres. A wine with an intense nose of black fruits, with a balanced and structured palate with well integrated tannins. Full body, well developed tannins and long finish. Here comes the exception to the rule: Carignan Prima is a single grape: 100% Merlot! However, you can expect from this wine a nice complexity, great structure and nice balance! Forget about Sideways movie and trust Bordeaux for Merlot!
